Authorities are investigating an apparent murder-suicide at a home in Salem County.

Police officers responded to a home on Davis Street in Pennsville Township at about 5 p.m. Monday for a well-being check and got no response at the door, according to township police.

They spoke to the person who had called police and neighbors who reported hearing a loud noise — which they described as a possible gunshot — prior to making the call.
