JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One person is dead and another is hurt after a crash Saturday in Jacksonville’s Sans Souci area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Jacksonville firefighters responded to the deadly crash at Parental Home and Dean roads.

The Sheriff’s Office said a silver sedan was heading south on Parental Home Road before it left the road at Dean Road. Police said the sedan went through a plastic fence, clipped a large tree and flipped on its side.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A police pursuit that began in Pennsauken, New Jersey ended with a crash in Philadelphia’s Spring Garden neighborhood. Then an officer at the scene of the crash got clipped by another driver who did not adhere to his instructions to turn around.

Police said Pennsauken police attempted to pull over a Toyota Corolla around midnight Friday when the driver sped off.

Police said the driver crossed the Ben Franklin Bridge and t-boned another vehicle at North Broad and Vine streets.

Police are trying to figure out why the driver fled in the first place.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK – Emily Murillo loved animals, especially her two dogs and two geckos, and hoped to direct that passion into a career working with animals, after graduating from South Brunswick High School in June.

But Murillo’s dreams were cut short in a tragic car accident Friday night in Franklin.

Superintendent Scott Feder announced Murillo’s passing in a message to the South Brunswick school community.

Franklin police received a 911 call around 9:22 p.m. Friday about a vehicle that left the roadway and entered the canal near Suydam Road, authorities said.
